Best Excuse Ever!

This post is for teachers. If you have ever been given the excuse “My dog ate my homework”, and you have rolled your eyes  with that can’t-you-think-of-something-more-original disbelief,  you may wish to reconsider.  Below is a photo of a genuine dog-chewed roll of film turned in by a slightly embarrassed, first semester intro photo student. She shall remain nameless. Her dog’s name, however, is Zeke. She was given an extension in case you are wondering.

Camera Obscura

When Fred was assigned a pinhole camera to build in his 2D/3D design class, he casually asked whether he could turn his garage into a Camera Obscura. With his mom’s hesitant agreement, he drilled a hole in the door, painted the wall and rearranged the furniture. The result is an upside-down projection of the outside world on the back wall. What you see below is a photograph of that projection.
