This year’s graduating film students are busy shooting a musical video sequence.  You may see them in various locations around the college for the next few weeks.

Recently a group of graduates of our Film/Video/Communications profile returned to Champlain to meet 4th semester students and share their stories about life at university.  Our heartfelt thanks go to Amanda Amato, Melanie Cardinal, Andre Dubois, Michael Gannon, Kim Handfield, Amanda Kossits, Daphnée L’Ecuyer, and Lydia Levasseur for taking time from their busy schedules.

Art and Media Exhibition

Thanks for supporting our recent exhibition of art and photography by Champlain’s talented Faculty and staff.  Already many others have come forward about showing their work next year.
Our latest exhibit features the work of students in Creative Arts classes, “Art & Media” and “Beyond the Object”.  It will be in the Wayne Remington Gallery (2nd floor of G-block) until May 9.  We hope you will take a moment to check it out.ArtMediaBeyondTheObjects

Caisse Desjardins Scholarship Winners

Why are Kim Handfield and Marianne Paquette acting so silly? You would have to ask them. But they’ve each just been awarded $750 dollars at the Caisse Desjardins Scholarships evening. Kim received the “Bourses d’Excellence” for being the Creative Arts student with the highest R scores in her first 2 semesters at Champlain.  Marianne, just finishing her first year at Champlain, took the prize for Creative Arts student with the highest overall average from her high school.  Congratulations to both!
